So i mean this as a compliment: The protagonist of the new Resident Evil movie is essentially a Smiling Friends character. His fumbles, misfortunes, traumatic experiences, angry grumbling, arguments; it's all exactly how a Smiling Friends character would experience the horrors of Resident Evil.
